One South Dearborn is a 40-story office tower located at the busy intersection of Madison and Dearborn Streets, and its open-air plaza lightens up this once dark corner.  The building features eight levels of heated parking and 32 levels of office space. A cast-in-place concrete core, structural steel floor and vertical elements complete the structure.  Concrete Structures was subcontracted to complete the foundation, core walls, and all concrete on metal deck floors.  After foundation completion, a self-climbing form system was used to achieve a three-day floor-to-floor cycle on the core walls.  All concrete activities were completed on time and within budget.
